MALPHAS, THE TURNFEATHER

Apparently, Malphas was once royalty of some kind. This is ancient history. For a reason I cannot fathom his family pushed him toward a life in some druidic order. At first this seemed to work, and the black sheep of the family became a model member. It was his trademark to leave a dove's feather whenever he performed a noble deed, though no one saw him perform them.

This however was all an act, he abandoned his family and the order for want of a woman. Together they had hatched a plan to put Malphas on the throne, and ravens' feathers were found at the scenes of murdered royalty. Diviners discovered his ploy and he was forced to flee.

Turning to his lover she grew angry and mocked his stupidity. To make matters worse, she revealed herself as an enemy of the family. She rebuked him and left him, dead from the breaking of his heart and the loss of his soul.
